KARL STORZ Endoscopy Launches Redeveloped Dundee Site

Medical equipment manufacturer and supplier, KARL STORZ Endoscopy (UK) Ltd., recently opened its newly redesigned Dundee plant. The redevelopment marks a £1.7 million investment in the facility, which has tripled in size. Dr. h. c. mult. Sybill Storz, owner of the KARL STORZ company, and her son and company board member, Karl-Christian Storz, flew over from the company’s headquarters in Germany to be present at the launch of the new building.
Mike Perks, Managing Director of KARL STORZ Endoscopy (UK) Ltd., warmly welcomed Mrs. and Mr. Storz to Dundee, and congratulated Mrs. Storz on the recognition she had received in London a few days before, where she was admitted as a Patron to the Royal College of Surgeons. This very rarely bestowed honour was awarded in recognition of Mrs. Storz’s unstinting support for training, education and the advancement of surgery.
He also thanked Sir Alfred Cuschieri for initially bringing the company to Dundee, and all those involved in the build, particularly Scottish Enterprise Tayside for its generous inward investment. After a short tour of the new building, Mrs. Storz unveiled a commemorative plaque and expressed her thanks for the warm welcome and her pleasure at visiting the Dundee plant.
