GESEA program

Supported by KARL STORZ, the European Academy of Gynaecologic Surgery (EAGS) developed the so-called Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgical Education and Assessment Program (GESEA). As well as free-of-charge theoretical knowledge, this program also offers the training of practical skills in laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. Three endoscopic training models are used to monitor the learning process and measure the skill level of a trainee. The LASTT training model provides a validated training approach for basic laparoscopic instrument handling skills whereas SUTT concentrates on laparoscopic suturing skills and HYSTT trains hysteroscopic camera navigation and instrument handling.
