KARL STORZ OR1^™ InWall Solution

Tuttlingen, 18.09.2018: Space in the OR is always at a premium – and with the new OR1^™ InWall Solution, KARL STORZ offers a space-saving and highly flexible system that seamlessly integrates into the OR infrastructure. The OR1^™ InWall Solution supports an ergonomic workplace design. The optional, modular concept accommodates a Nurse Work Station and a large monitor and provides an enclosure for all necessary OR integration components for A/V management, communication, OR control, and documentation in one innovative solution.

The flexible installation options allow positioning the Monitor Panel and Nurse Work Station independently or together anywhere in the OR (wall) according to the OR workflow and infrastructure. All modules are integrated in the standard OR wall, and the flush-mounted design ensures a smooth and safe junction with the adjacent OR wall segments. The OR1^™ InWall Solution is available with a stainless steel or safety glass front cover – with both designs featuring a high level of infection prevention.

Visitors such as guest doctors and students can easily follow the intervention via the large monitor, which is protected by a glass panel. Furthermore, this monitor can be used as an overview monitor through its video composition capability, which allows displaying an X-ray image, the endoscopic image, and others in Picture-in-Picture (PiP), side-by-side (PaP), or Quad view mode. The customer can choose between 55” and 65” in Full HD or 4K UHD image quality.

The Nurse Work Station incorporates an ergonomically positioned 21.5” touch panel for convenient OR control and an optional information bar offering an overview of the time, surgery time, OR status, etc.

The space-saving and workflow-supporting OR1^™ InWall Solution keeps cabling short, signal transfer safe, and installation simple. It eliminates an often faraway technology room or a technology rack in the OR, which would reduce the available floor area.

The KARL STORZ OR1^™ InWall Solution facilitates service-friendly access to the entire OR integration technology, which is incorporated in the lower technical cabinets.
