KARL STORZ Launches New Endoscopic NIR/ICG Fluorescence Imaging System to Enhance Minimally Invasive Surgery Techniques

El Segundo, CA (October 24, 2016) – Karl Storz Endoscopy-America, Inc., a leader in endoscopy, imaging and operating room integration solutions, is pleased to announce the launch of NIR/ICG Imaging as an extension of its IMAGE1 S^™ dynamic camera architecture. The KARL STORZ NIR/ICG Imaging System enables surgeons to perform minimally invasive surgery using standard endoscopic visible light as well as an enhanced visual assessment of vessels, blood flow and related tissue perfusion, using near-infrared (NIR) imaging.
