Eosinophilic tumor cells of squamous origin with distinctive polymorphism and anisokaryosis in a “dirty” background are seen in a cervical smear from a 54-year-old patient. HPV 16 was detected. Colposcopy showed an abnormal transformation zone type 3 with atypical vessels and necrosis. Squamous cell carcinoma was confirmed histologically.
