The resorbable BIOPLUG suture anchor stands out due to its material and very good pullout resistance. The material is an amorphous stereocopolymer (Poly-co-D, L-lactide). This special material and, consequently, the BIOPLUG 3.5, 4.2 and 5.2 degrade (bioresorbable) slowly and without a resorption reaction. The material remains amorphous throughout the entire degradation process.
